How To Cleanse Honey Calcite
Honey Calcite, just like other members of the Calcite family, is considered to be a soft crystal. This means it can break easily and care must be taken when cleansing it.
It’s important to note that Honey Calcite is not suitable for water cleansing. If this crystal gets wet, it’s very likely to become damaged.
There are plenty of other methods you can use to cleanse this crystal of negative or unwanted energy though – I’ll list some of the most popular methods below:
1. Sound Healing
One easy way to remove unwanted energies from your Honey Calcite crystal is by using sound.
Sound is a powerful healer and cleanser, so by playing a Shamanic drum or a Singing Bowl near your crystal, you can rid it of negative energy.
You can use some other instruments too – a Tingsha works particularly well.
Continue to play your chosen healing instrument near the crystal until you feel it is fully cleansed.
2. Smudging
Smudging is the go-to cleansing method for most people.
You can smudge crystals to remove negative energy by using a bundle of herbs (such as white sage, clary sage, lavender, or rosemary) or you can use incense.
If you’re using incense, I’d recommend lavender, sage, or dragon’s blood.
Light your bundle of herbs or your incense stick and gently blow out the flame. Next, pass your Honey Calcite through the plumes of smoke for a few moments, and it will be cleansed.
3. Other Crystals
Using other crystals is a relatively easy and hands-off method for cleansing Honey Calcite. I find this to be a great method if I don’t have a lot of time.
Clear Quartz and Selenite are both incredible for cleansing energies from other objects, which includes crystals.
The best way o do this is by using a charging plate or bowl; this way you can just put your Honey Calcite in it and let the Selenite or Clear Quartz do its work.
Don’t worry if you don’t have a plate of bowl though, you can use any size piece of Quartz or Selenite to cleanse with.
I like to use the method of wrapping the cleansing crystal around Honey Quartz and envisaging unwanted energies being removed.
4. Earth Healing
Working with Mother Earth to heal your crystals is a gorgeous ritual, but it’s incredibly important to make sure the ground is completely dry and there’s no rain due.
If the conditions are right, dig a small hole in the garden and place your Honey Calcite in it. Gently cover the crystal over.
Leave your crystal for a few hours, overnight if possible, then dig it up and gently brush away any soil.
If you don’t have a garden and you want to complete an earth cleansing, you can place some soil in an offering bowl on your altar and just do the ritual inside.
5. Reiki
If you’re trained in the healing practice of Reiki, you’ll know that this is a great method for removing negative or stale energy.
To cleanse your Honey Calcite wth Reiki, hold the crystal in your hands, open up to your healing channels, and direct cleansing energy into the crystal.
How To Charge Honey Calcite With The Moon
Now that your crystal is clear of all unwanted energy, and there’s nothing to interfere with its work, it’s time to give it an energy boost by charging it.
Honey Calcite isn’t suitable for charging in sunlight, so wait until the full moon and place your crystal outside or on your windowsill.
It’s worth bearing in mind that if you miss the full moon (we’ve all been there) you can still charge the evening before or after the night of the full moon and the effect will be the same.
If you’re charging Honey Calcite under the moon outside, it’s really important to make sure it’s going to be a dry night – you really don’t want your crystal getting wet.
How To Programme Honey Calcite To Work With It
Now your Honey Calcite has been revitalised, you can programme it.
Programming Honey Calcite is easy. All you need to do is hold it in your hands, close your eyes, and clearly state how you want to work with it.
If you want to use Honey Calcite to unblock your solar plexus, just state this out loud, or even in your head, as you hold the crystal.
Or if you are keen to work with Honey Calcite to bring you more positivity, hold it and say: ‘This crystal will bring more positivity in my life’ and continue to hold it until you feel connected to the crystal.
Yes, Honey Calcite can fade over time if it is regularly exposed to sunlight. That’s why I recommend charging it with the moon instead.
No, Honey Calcite is a soft crystal so it’s not recommended for water cleansing. Try smudging or sound healing instead.
