Step By Step Guidance On How To Meditate With Crystals
Picking A Crystal
Before you proceed to the meditation part, you need to first pick a crystal to use during your practice.
If you already know which crystal to use, you can move to the next step.
However, if you are new to this and have no idea how crystals work, you might need to do some research.
Different crystals have different energies and are ideal for different purposes.
So, the first thing you need to do is figure out the best crystals to meditate with.
Some great crystals in this regard are clear quartz, amethyst, selenite, rose quartz, tourmaline, lapis lazuli, smoky quartz, and carnelian.
When you are choosing a crystal, try to open up your heart and let the crystals speak to you.
Sometimes, your intuition will tell you exactly what you need.
If your meditation is geared towards working with your chakras then choose a crystal that represents the chakra in question.
After you get your crystal, make sure to first cleanse it. Then set your intentions and spend some time with the crystal.
Many practitioners consider crystals to be “alive.” So, it’s necessary that you get to know your crystal and establish a solid connection with it.
Setting The Right Ambience
Many people consider meditation a sacred ritual. Especially when crystals are involved.
So, they take additional steps to enhance their practice. You could do the same to make your experience more serene and relaxing.
Here are all the things you could do to set the right ambience for your crystal meditation.
Of course, your personal preferences will come into play, and you don’t have to do all of the following.
Find a comfortable place where you won’t be disturbed for a while. It could be your bedroom, living room, balcony, terrace, or any other place where you feel most grounded and at ease.
Set the thermostat to a comfortable temperature and make sure the lighting is such that it gives a soft and relaxed feel.

Finally, you could play some soothing meditation tracks or other sounds that you find peaceful such as bells, Tibetan singing bowls, wind-chimes, harps, or nature sounds.

There are three methods you can use. And you can alternate between them from one day to the next.

1) Holding One In Your Hand
This is the simplest method that requires you to simply hold your crystal while meditating in the traditional meditative pose.
Sit down comfortably and take some deep breaths. Try to ground yourself and feel a sense of relaxation spread throughout your body.
Then, when you are ready, take the crystal and hold it in your right hand. You can then place this hand on your lap.
Try to bring your attention to the crystal and connect with it. Observe how it feels in your hand and feel genuine gratitude for having it.
Visualize the crystal transferring some of its powerful positive energies into your body. Visualize this energy spreading throughout your body, raising your natural vibration and disintegrating any negative energies within you.
If your mind wanders off during this process, gently try to bring your focus back to the crystal.
Continue to breathe deeply as the connection between you and the crystal becomes stronger.
After a while, when you’re ready, gently open your eyes. You will feel much calmer and in tune with your crystal.
2) Using A Crystal Grid
This is a slightly more advanced technique of meditating with crystals. It requires creating a crystal grid in front of you and then meditating while focusing on this grid.
A crystal grid is basically an arrangement of energetically aligned crystals in a sacred geometric shape.
Often, this type of meditation is done for a specific purpose (such as manifesting one’s desires).
First, you need to have an intention for this meditation. So, introspect a little and think about what you want to achieve out of this practice.
It could be general well-being or manifesting a specific desire.
Then, you need to research the types of crystals you should use for your crystal grid. Make sure you choose ones that are energetically aligned and can help you realize your intention.
Then, create the grid and sit in front of it in a cross-legged posture. Close your eyes, take some deep breaths, and relax.
After a while, when you feel more grounded, focus on the crystal grid and try to link to it energetically. Just visualize a white beam of light emanating from the grid and assimilating into your body.
Spend the next few minutes being aware of the power of the crystals in front of you and try to take in as much energy from them as you can.
When you’re ready, you can gently open your eyes.
3) Placing Them Over Your Chakras
This is another powerful practice that is often aimed at healing one’s physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual ailments. It’s no wonder that so many people want to learn how to meditate with chakra crystals.
This method involves placing different crystals over your chakras and allowing them to heal you.
First, you need to research the various chakras and their corresponding crystals. Then, you need to decide whether you are going to work on one chakra or more.
The more chakras you want to heal, the more corresponding crystals you will need to get.
Once you have figured out the above, you need to lie down and place the crystal/s on your chakra/s.
Then, close your eyes and let the crystals do their work. Try to relax throughout the process and visualize getting healed.
You might feel certain sensations around your chakras or in other parts of the body. That is totally fine. Just enjoy the process.
After 10-15 minutes, open your eyes gently and remove the crystals from your chakras.
Remember to cleanse your crystals after this practice, before you work with them again.
